Well, do I know about the shit stick of life!!! Hi! I'm Deb, the mom of twin 25-year-old identical twin girls - one of whom was born with "severe" disabilities. My life changed from happily employed, joyously excited mom-to-be...to permanent caregiver with no hope of ever being employed full-time in my chosen profession. Add to that the terror, grief, uncertainty of parenting my wee bundles of joy and I was experiencing the shittiest stick I'd ever imagined.
Through my embracing the challenges and making sure my daughters have had a mom who is happy, resilient, and making up my career as I went along, I made sure to give them the happiest life possible. Phew!! I learned so much from them I decided to write a book and pass my tips and tricks along... xo
